Signalis offers a basic gameplay experience. is reminiscence of the original classical survival video games like Silent Hill and the resident Evil. It's a top down view, pixel art, survival shooter with limited melee capabilities and the limited amount of items to help you navigate the world.
It's a sci-fi only single-player narrative that brings the tension to life with a variety of weak melee weapons forcing the battle to take place at weapons length like pistols and shotguns.
The game world is all interconnected spaces where you can search and find keys or items that help solve the challenges by combining objects in safe rooms allowing you to carry the tools you need for survival.
You will encounter enemies who can be killed if there is no ammunition in the pistols, or shotguns you encounter throughout the game world when you try to understand why and how you're doing the things you do on this mysterious planet.
The game is initially straightforward and easy, however, you will find out that the difficulty rises dramatically as the game progresses dramatically, toward the end, with enemies that will return to life and pop out of vents and floors, and more, and simple, easy, yet thrilling boss fights in a claustrophobic environment.
I would say that it's not your fault per say, but if you progress in the game considerably for about two or three hours into and then stop for a few days coming back can be hard since the game doesn't give you a list of what you are supposed to do next . Also, due to the map being somewhat difficult to grasp beginners may be put off at first However, use guidelines and exercise your brain muscles. Trust me the pain is worth it.

I personally found the story telling mechanics of the female workers as well as the representation of female and male workers by machines in a supposedly communist-style work environment fascinating.
I'm not going to go into the details to keep from spoilers I'll just note that this isn't an easy story to digest and leaves you to interpret according to my view the meaning behind things, for it is not grounded in logic or reality as such.
Graphics/Performance
For the graphics and performance of Signalis the game, I won't be conducting a thorough analysis since it runs well and it looks good due to its unique style of art. It runs efficient and beautifully on every device you can play it on pretty much and I truly hope it is brought to mobile devices like iPhone and Android in the near future.
I do recommend playing it on an OLED Tv or Monitor because it's gorgeous.
